Josh Taylor had a career night in Winterboro’s 60-24 win over Wadley on Friday.
Taylor had 533 all-purpose yards and six touchdowns to help the Bulldogs improve to 7-0 and, more importantly, 5-0 in the Class 1A Region 3 action. The senior did most of his damage on the ground with 355 rushing yards on 15 carries and five touchdowns. He also had a reception for a 15-yard touchdown. Defensively, he recorded two tackels. He also recorded two interceptions for 65 yards and one touchdown, and had three kick returns for 65 yards.
Curtavius Gray also had a solid game as he rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Gray recorded a team-high 11 tackles for Winterboro. Jake McCoy recorded 10 tackles, and Casey Twymon and Mario Hester added nine tackles apiece.
Winterboro welcomes Notasulga to Alpine next Friday at 7 p.m.
